I have to share some of the more recent words of Emily..
1. "Mom, can I chill with you tonight?" Meaning can I stay up and watch TV with you?? Which sometimes we let her do, for example, the other night we rented "Alvin and the Chipmunks" and we let her stay up till 11:00pm to "chill"...She was in 7th heaven eating popcorn, drinking rootbeer, and eating Nibs with us. =)
2. "Mom, watch me blast off!" Meaning watch me with my fairy wings run around the room!
3. (My most favorite of her sayings) "I feel so fuzzy and warm and happy!" I said, "I'm so glad...what makes you feel that way?" She says, "Its the Holy Ghost!" Then she surprised me with saying, "I feel Jesus in my heart, mom!" We then talked about how Jesus has given us the Spirit to feel comfort and peace and most of all happiness! Its times when I'm holding her or doing something fun with her that she mentions how happy and fuzzy and warm she feels!
4. Along with the Spiritual topic, she said today in the car, "Pres Hinckley is so lucky! Because his wife is dead in heaven and now he's with her...he's so lucky!" The brain of a 4-year old never surprises me anymore!
5. Today we went 4-wheeling and there were a ton of cows up on the mountain. At one point in time we were herding the cows, since they were in the middle of the trail. I asked Emily, "did you like herding the cows?" She replies by saying, "but we weren't hurting them mom!!"
Emily is so dang smart, and absorbs EVERYTHING in detail. I can't tell you how many times I have to explain something or tell a story over and over so she understands every last detail.. I need to do better at keeping her list of sayings so I never forget. Love you Em!!!
