Emmy's Graduation/ Camping

Emily has graduated from Pre-School!!!! Her program was so cute, Miss Tara has done a great job with these kids!! Emily had a part to say which she did so well! I could tell she was a little nervous, but she didn't even need help. We are so proud of all her accomplishments! Good Job Emily! Emily has shown a lot of interest in reading and is learning really well. She is sounding out her letters and is starting to recognize words on signs, books, and the TV... It surprises me when she says, "look mom! that says FARM!" She is so smart, or maybe its just me being a proud mommy! We love you Emily! Grandma & Grandpa Wiley, Aunt Monica and Uncle Rivers all came to the program and then Uncle Mikey and Aunt Mel and cousins came over for a great BBQ afterward!

Since Nate has lots of time off this week, we decided to go camping! We packed up just some things for a one night camping trip including the 4-wheelers. Man, its a LOT of work! We realized that the memories of blissful camping as a child are because mom and dad were in charge of all the work of packing, setting up tents, food, etc... Don't get me wrong, we LOVE camping, but its different now with little kids.. We went to the mountains just east of Cedar Fort, which had millions of trails. The dirt there was like powder, so needless to say we were filthy! Emily's face was pretty much black, and Easton's diaper always had an inch of dirt in it! White is NOT a color to wear camping, which Nate learned because for some reason that color attracts the bugs! I'm not kidding, he had so many bugs on his shirt, you should have seen him swatting those things! For the most part it was a fun family trip, and we got to see some awesome scenery!

Congrats to smart little Emily! And that camping trip looks like a lot of fun (AND a lot of work). We have to start planning our getaway!

It looks like you had so much fun! Way to go on getting out so much already this year! I can't wait until our house is done and moved into so we can start thinking about something else! I'm jealous of all the recreational time you are spending! Good for you!

And you do have bragging rights, Emily is a smarty! Great job on your program and learning how to read Emily!

Camping trips REALLY aren't as fun as they were when we were kids!!! Okay, maybe they're just as fun, but definitely a lot more work!

Looks like fun! You are right though, it is a ton of work! It is 100% worth it though. We don't appreciate all that our parents did to get ready for trips 'till we do it ourselves.
