There is one thing in my life that I wish I didn't have to do. Any guesses? Shaving comes close, but laundry is my number one. I am not good at it, meaning that it takes at least a week to be complete from the start to finish. But wait..I'm NEVER complete because by the time I get the last batch folded and put away, I need to start all over again!! It is a terrible cycle of insanity, seeing a pile or more, not put away is like hearing nails on a chalk board. How many times do I dump the piles on my bed thinking I'll get it done, and end up shoveling them onto the floor just to fall asleep at night?! Too many to count. And it's driving me crazy. So mom, for the laundry queen that you are, if you ever feel inclined, please come do my laundry!!!! I'm being buried alive in it!!

I would do the Laundry over the dishes anyday.... But I know what you are sayin!
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!! Good luck with it. On my facebook I have a picture of my laundry all over my bed. Check it out if you want to feel better. Try adding two extra kids to the mix. It NEVER ends.
I'm right there with you! My problem is we have an extra bedroom next to the laundry room so it all gets dumped on that bed- out of sight, out of mind...
I hear ya sister! On the plus side, my cat loves to sleep in the pile of clean laundry that is ALWAYS on my bedroom floor. (Pushed off the bed the night before of course!) Also, I have that sign hanging up in my laudry room!
Oh my gosh, that is hilarious. I do the exact thing. It totally takes me a week to finally get it all put away, then it's time to start again. AND I ALWAYS put the clothes on my bed thinking, "oh yeah, I'm definately going to put these away today!" The day comes to an end and the the clothes are thrown to the floor only to mixed in with all the dirty ones throughout the week. Neverending cycle I tell ya, neverending cycle :)
Not me. I've totally got the laundry thing under control. My kids haven't spent the last two weeks trying to find a match in the sock basket before school. And, of course, there hasn't been a pile of clean clothes on the couch for three days waiting to be folded. (My room is out, since that's where the dirty clothes are.) My husband doesn't have to request that I do a white load so he can have some clean underwear. Oh no. I'm all over this one. Just don't expect to see any clothes placed in the laundry basket again for at least a couple of weeks. ;)
Yes, I do the EXACT same thing. I leave it for a week, then decide to finish a week later, and realize that I have another week's worth that needs to be washed. So I start it, thinking i'm in a groove, and certainly I can get it done. But nope, it ends up sitting for a week. My other favorite thing to do is to wash a load and forget about it for 3 days. That is fun. Then I have to rewash it. I think there's a few times I've washed the same load 4-5 times. It's silly, but oh well.
I have started having laundry friday. We have a "pajama day" as Elizabeth calls it, and I watch my favorite movies while I wash and fold laundry. It actually is sort of fun. Doesn't mean I'm getting any better at getting laundry done though.
UGH! Laundry is my worst enemy. In fact, yesterday I was telling Abby that I needed to find the Laundry Fairy!! I need someone to gather, wash, dry, fold and put away. Is that too much to ask? I totally hear where you are coming from!!
I am the same way. I can NOT stand laundry. I get so irritated every time my kids throw their clothes in the dirty clothes. We have a new rule around here lately and it is: I need to look at their clothes and make sure they are dirty before they throw them in the hamper! I always make Brayden wear his jeans twice. He isn't as messy as Daxton! :) But, I have been doing one load of laundry a day and it is sooo much easier to keep up on... so maybe you should try it! :)
Did you do a post about being prego, or is it just on the side bar...I read all your posts in reader, so unless I comment, I don't see the sidebar. So it may be a little late, but congratulations!
And on the laundry I've decided that it is never completely done unless everyone is stripped down NAKED and the last clothes they had been wearing two hours ago are folded and tucked neatly away. Since that is NEVER going to happen, I have given up on ever feeling done with laundry...now I am content with my incompleteness.
WOW! You got a lot of comments on this one! All I can say is I agree. I have TONS of laundry done. Almost all of ti really, but is it put away. No. Piles and Piles in the rooms!
I just noticed your baby widget. Congratulations! I hope you're feeling good!
Funny. And you're just adding one more kid's laundry to the mix! Uh oh. ;o)
In RS today there was a quote that said something like, 'there will come a day when you will miss the baths, diapers, cooking, and yes, even the piles of laundry.' Totally paraphrasing, but something like that. All the older women in the class were nodding and smiling. I can't imagine missing the laundry, but apparently the day might come!
